Strathcona

Strathcona Park community is situated on the western edge of the City. It was annexed to the City in 1956. The Strathcona Park area is the eastern edge of a plateau which stretches west for a distance of about 7 kilometres. Its elevation offers some excellent views of the city and the Elbow and Bow River valleys. Situated eight kilometres west of downtown, Strathcona Park is linked to it and other parts of Calgary via Bow Trail, 17 Avenue, and Sarcee Trail.
