Sellers Guide

What is a counter offer?

The counteroffer is your response to the buyers offers to purchase your condominium. Your counteroffer signals to the buyer that you regard his or her offer a viable, and that you’re willing to work toward finalizing the deal.

The initial offer to purchase tells you what the ideal offer is. Buyers expect you to counter. This is when the art of negotiations come into play. Your Ripco Real Estate agent is an expert on the condominium marketplace and this ensures you are always negotiating from a position of strength.

The final contract is when you and the buyer agree on the price and the terms and conditions. Each counter offer is legally a new offer and makes the previous offers void. A counter offer can be made by putting the change on the original contract with both parties initializing the change; or that the contract can be redrawn.
